John R. Melnick MD & Associates

JOHN R. MELNICK, M.D.

John Melnick grew up in Elmira, New York.  He graduated in 1971 from Loma Linda Univeristy School of Medicine in California, taking his specialty training in Internal Medicine at Washington Hospital Center, Washington, D.C.  He obtained his Board Certification in Internal Medicine in 1974.  After working at Penang Adventist Hospital in Malaysia for two years, he entered private practice in Maryland.  In 1976 he and Dr. Byrl Johnson formed a partnership and three years later established the current medical practice in Gaithersburg.  Dr. Melnick is a member of the American College of Physicians, the Montgomery County and Maryland State Medical Societies, and the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.  He is especially interested in geriatrics and preventative medicine through a healthy lifestyle.  He enjoys reading, movies, traveling, and skiing with his wife and their three grown children and their families.

Steve Dolinsky is a Montogmery County native.  He graduated from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in 1973 and continued his training with an internship in Chicago, IL.  Following two years in the U.S. Army in Korea, he completed his residency in Internal Medicine in Baltimore, MD.  In 1978, Dr. Dolinsky was Board Certified in Internal Medicine and entered private practice in Gaithersburg.  He enjoys reading, movies, music, and spending time with his wife and two physician sons.
